About Acrylic Prints

Acrylic Print with Mounting Posts

Mounting Option #1

Acrylic Print with Hanging Wire

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

I am so pleased with the photograph. It captures what I saw during my visit to Sedona perfectly! I especially loved the ease in hanging this art.

Artist's Description

"AbandonScape" - Maynard Stensby homestead along shore of Devils Lake North Dakota in Benson County
This is a "deep focus" image, shot during golden-hour sunset light with a modest (135mm) telephoto lens using "focus stacking" technique to get tack sharp foreground all the way to infinity without relying upon a very tiny lens aperture (and corresponding softness). It is also a "deep history" shot, capturing three farm homesteads from circa 1900 - Stensby farm in foreground, Lars Peder Hansen homestead at back right (small building with chimney), and the McGowan homestead all the way across Silver Lake (now merged with Devils Lake, in its flooded condition) on left side. Rural depopulation trend due to farm consolidation has left them vacant, like countless others across the ND plains.

Image captured 9/30/22 with Pentax K-1 and Rokinon 135mm lens at f8, stacked composite from three focus depths

About Peter Herman

Peter Herman

Peter Herman was born and raised on a farm in North Dakota. He first became interested in photography during high-school, and after acquiring a Pentax SLR, began taking photos for the school yearbook and developing/printing B&W images in school darkroom. He continued shooting through college, taking portraits, group pictures, weddings, but after beginning his engineering career at Cummins, he let his photography interests go dormant until about 2005 when he acquired his first DSLR and started shooting scenic landscapes from around the US, but concentrating especially on rural areas in ND and WI. Many of his images were encountered while riding motorcycle down random backroads during "golden hour", searching for that magic light...
